As a Pakistani journalist, I am used to newsrooms dominated by women. At Die Welt, where I was placed as part of a six-month fellowship, I was amazed that so few women made it to the top. The numbers are shocking for an industrialised country in the 21st century. And, it won’t change without a fight. The quota is the beginning of that fight. No quota, no women.
